I lost 100 pounds in 7 months! I weighed 285, just coming out of a divorce. I was drinking, eating, and taking depression medication. On October 1st, 2015, I decided “Enough is Enough!”. I decided to take initiative and take my life back. I called around to different gyms with personal training services. All I got were pricing quotes and emotionless responses. That was until I called BB3 Fitness. Gavin DeSouza, my present trainer, answered the phone. He encouraged me without any pressure tactics. All we talked about was ME. We ended the call and I was energized but hesitant because of my preconceived notions of a bunch of muscle heads looking at me cross eyed!
A few days later, Gavin called me back (the only one that did). So I came in for a consultation. I was nervous, but when I walked in (guess what?), they were “normal” and “human” people who made me feel so at home. So I took the life changing step and COMMITTED! My first day in training was awesome, Gavin and I sat down and he had me write down very specific goals. Then, he educated me like I have NEVER been educated before.
Our training sessions were challenging, but absolutely attainable and doable. Gavin challenged me but always knew when to pull back and take me for a walk to discuss my physical and mental status. The members of BB3 were very encouraging, friendly, and willing to give in time to help me. All in, they helped me change my mind, body, and spirit. Their holistic approach to helping me change myself was THE most impactful experience in my life.
Today I am 185 pounds (lost 100 pounds in 7 months!). I have maintained that weight loss due to increases in water and muscle weight while losing over 100 pounds in fat! I am forever grateful to Gavin DeSouza and BB3 Fitness. I am happier and healthier than I have EVER been in my life. Just do it! Start now!
